What is the Foundations report?

Every year, we mine box office data to uncover insights into audiences for venues and festivals across Northern Ireland. This year, we’ve worked with 16 cultural organisations. Data were collected for each of these organisations and were fed into the report, which includes overall benchmark figures for Northern Ireland, as well as differences by Belfast venues and regional venues.

We look at things like:

  • Contact rates – so you know how much of your audience you can actually talk to
  • Customer behaviour – so you can see how loyal and engaged your audiences are
  • And ticket yield – so you can see how your own ticket yield compares to the benchmark

Why do we do this?

Because we strongly believe that knowing these figures lays the foundation for building and strengthening your relationship with your audiences.

How is this useful?

You can compare your own box office data with our benchmark figures. Don’t want to pull the data yourself? Not a problem – contact Client Programme Coordinator Úna Brady at una@wewillthrive.co.uk if you’d like to participate in Foundations, and we can pull the data for you and give you a tailored report that compares your venue with the benchmarks.
