Bottomless Brunchmarking: Inclusive Audiences
What’s the event?
We’re delighted to announce the next event in our Bottomless Brunchmarking series. Join us at the University of Atypical, Belfast, for a coffee morning focused creating inclusive arts and culture spaces for diverse audiences.
Our IMPACT research shows that attending arts and culture is a priority for disabled audiences, but also tells us that the cost-of-living crisis affects them more acutely than the NI average. LGBTQ+ audiences are similarly affected by the cost of living, and are twice as likely to be disabled than other IMPACT respondents. They have a lot of love to give their arts and culture spaces - LGBTQ+ audiences are 13% more likely to be motivated to attend because they want to support a specific venue.
How can we ensure disabled and LGBTQ+ audience members are welcomed into our arts and culture spaces? We'll chat it all through and share learnings and ideas, all while enjoying some delicious brunch.

Is the venue accessible?
This event will take place in the Ledger Studio in University of Atypical.
Entry: You enter the venue from Royal Avenue, through large blue double doors. You then walk through a corridor with a shallow incline, and handrails on both sides. The Ledger Studio is the first door on the left. You can park outside on Royal Avenue if you have a Blue Badge. The closest bus stops are outside Belfast Central Library and Craft NI.
Inside the Venue: The Ledger Studio is on one level. There are no steps at the entrance. The space will be set out with chairs and tables. There are two bathrooms along a corridor (on the same level as the venue): one is a large accessible bathroom. There is another large accessible bathroom with a changing table and hoist across the corridor.
