Poverty Proofing Culture - Online Webinar
What’s the event?
We're partnering with NI Museums Council to deliver this one-off online webinar. Take part to hear how you can support inclusive access to arts, museums and heritage.
Join us as we hear from Children North East, the team behind Poverty Proofing© which is a nationally recognised tool supporting organisations to remove barriers for those living in poverty.
This session is intended to inform people about the diverse experiences of people living in poverty and to generate informed discussion about ways in which we may unintentionally promote stigma or limit an individual’s access to participation and opportunities.
The Poverty Proofing© team have provided their services to some of the UK’s leading cultural organisations, including Sage Gateshead, BALTIC, Northern Stage and Head of Steam Museum as well as presenting at the Museums Association Conference 2023 and 2024. This will be their first delivery of training to the NI sector.
