IMPACT Music Report

Our IMPACT survey is a post-visit audience survey that evidences the impact of attending arts and culture on audiences in Northern Ireland. Thanks to IMPACT, we're able to share for the first time how artform affects audience motivations, behaviours and demographics.

Music Audiences

  • There are more disabled audiences attending music (14% vs. 13% of the IMPACT total)
  • Music attenders book more in advance, with 21% booking more than 6 months in advance compared to 18% of the total.
  • People attending small music venues were more than twice as likely to attend a music performance to support the venue/space and to feel part of a community
  • People’s main motivation for attending the larger music venues was to see a specific artist/performer. They were also more likely to attend to celebrate a special occasion.
