Age Friendly Guidelines
Older people are a huge potential audience for arts, culture, and heritage in Northern Ireland - and one that is often overlooked. They can also experience barriers to their engagement with culture, so it's vital that you consider this audience if your venue or events are to be truly accessible and welcoming to all.
These guidelines were put together by the Family Arts Campaign as part of their Age-Friendly Standards programme, and are a really useful practical checklist of steps to take to ensure you're providing great experiences to your older visitors.
You can use the guidelines as a checklist to get you thinking, or you can sign up to the Standards if you'd like to join the campaign and get more advice about engaging older people and families. The standards are self-assessed, and signing up means that you'll be able to display the age-friendly logo and show how you've considered the needs of older audiences.
